📚 Math Lessons

These lessons are written for first grade: a short explanation, concrete examples, and practice tasks a child can do with a parent or teacher.

Do not skip a level if the child is still unsure. It is better to add within 10 without mistakes than to rush into carrying and borrowing. Each lesson takes about 10–15 minutes if you solve the tasks out loud.

How to use the lessons

  1. Read the explanation together and show the example with fingers, blocks, or chocolate pieces.
  2. Solve the lesson tasks. If the child makes a mistake, go back to the example instead of moving on.
  3. After the lesson, practice the same skill in the addition or subtraction table, and only then try a timed quiz.
